Is this event open to the community?

Yes. Men, women, college students, and children of all ages are invited. The Family Fun Run will have its own separate course. Competitive running will take place on the 5K course.

Is this a competitive race?

This event is not a competitive race, it is a fundraiser! This is an opportunity for us to unite as a community to raise our voices against the ugly crime of Sex Trafficking.

There will still be medals for the first 3 females and 3 males that finish the 5K and 1M fun run!

Do I have to register my children?

For the 5K or Family Fun Run:

  • Yes! Please register your child on the same website as yourself. This ensures all waivers will be signed and t-shirt will be ordered.

May I register on race day?

Yes. Keep in mind that the registration fee will increase the day of the race.

When do I have to pick-up my race bib?

It is preferred that runner numbers/bibs be picked up prior to race day. Registration packets will be available for pick-up at:

TBD

Where will parking be?

The largest available parking lot is the southern lot used by the Panhandle South Plains Fair. We have reserved this large lot for our use. Other lots include the one right next door owned by Moonlight Musicals. Internals lots will be closed off and unavailable. Follow signage and plan early. Provide ample time to find parking, walk down the hill to the Warm-up Party, register and/or pick up bibs.

Will shuttles be provided?

No.

How long is the race?

We offer two race lengths: 5K (3.1 miles) and the Family Fun Run (approximately 1 mile).

What happens when I have completed my walk/run?

Celebrate with your friends and family at the Freedom Festival!

A Post Run Award Ceremony will also be held at the conclusion of the races.

This is the 8th Annual Running2Rescue awareness and fundraising event! We have developed R2R to combat sex trafficking in our region, and one of the strongest methods to combat this evil is to promote primary prevention by supporting families and safe activities in our communities. We want this to be a fun family event celebrating freedom, so feel free to stay and enjoy the extra activities after the event.

Will runners and walkers be separated for the races?

Yes, the runners will be asked to line up first. Walkers will line up right behind the runners.  Everyone starts at the same time.

Do I need to collect donations to be a part of Running2Rescue?

No. However, keep in mind that a small percentage of your registration fee will be used to cover race day expenses, so we do welcome additional donations. 100% of donations will benefit OneVo!ceHome.

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. You can donate online under the “Sponsor R2R” tab or you can mail or drop off a donation. Please make payable to OneVoiceHome and send to:
